If I gave you my heart, what would you do with it?
Would you care for it and shade it from the worse,
Would you wear it out and tear me down?
If I gave you my heart, what would you give in return?
Not the clichés or paradise, nor rewards in arrears
If I gave you my heart, the one thing I truly own,
Would you give me a happy life, before eternal life?
If I gave you my vote, what would you do with it?
Would you have it all and have me
beg,
Would you share the cake as you take and take?
If I gave you my vote, what would you give in return?
Not bags of rice or promises, or crumbs from leftovers
If I gave you my vote, my real power and right to commonwealth,
Would you be my voice or mighty god?
