...to funerals or carnivals

The crest of hierarchy in the Catholic world is now officially vacant as the hopes of the late Pope living again was doused by his being laid to rest today in the old famous Vatican city of Rome. This is after a series of drama had been staged between the Science trying to trick nature and nature insisting on having its way
This event has been a news item as many leading broadcasting corporations all round the globe are covering this ceremony live! He must have really been a good man, I did not know much of him so, I will not miss him. The beauty of this event was the unity it fostered. People from all walks of life, diverse religious backgrounds, different languages, multi-cultured coming together to witness an old dude go through the rituals of resting in pieces(pardon! peace).
Watching the proseedings on set I could not stop my mind from loitering, from swirmming. How the death of a man could bring about such a consortium of the world's great members regardless of distance, tribe or religion.
As the seconds on a clock ticks dignitaries give up the ghost and the ceremonies to lay them to rest may go on for as long as weeks in splendour that may even surpass that of the Pope but, what is it anyway if they have not received God's peace and are not really resting in peace? Vanity! The Late Pope must be having his sweet time if he is allowed to watch these herd of humans travel across space and time just to see some designated people give his wasted body to ants and termites to feast on. God must be happy too I reasoned. It was amazing, like the funeral of the century.
The people, the costumes, the people, the rallies, the dollars, the facny, the blings! It was more of a carnival than a funeral. For those that were crying, they must either be hypocrites or just have teary-weary eyes because this was a case of celebration rather than of desiccation.
Born as Karol Jozef Wojtyla on May 18, 1920 at Wadowice, Poland; lived a normal kid's life, made his name over the years, must have lived a fulfilled live but,..... He died April 2, 2005 at Vatican City (more information about the Pope, his live and his events can be found at http://catholicism.about.com/od/popes/p/popejohnpa05.htm).

I would love to be given this kind of drama when I decide to quit the game but, there is more to it than meets the eye and...I am not planning to go to the seminary either! The struggle all starts from the day we were procreated, as controversial as it may appear, some people have to 'kpa' for you to get a step higher in life. If thatz the case, so be it! It is not gonna be the number of fans you had on the whole but, the number of folks that are really going to miss your virtual inexistence.
Is it about living to die or dying to live? How many lives need to be wasted if only you could live another minute. Doesn't most of the world's woes stem from this?
'Lets observe a minute of silence in honor of the deceased' and 'may his/her sould rest in perfect peace'; are the phrases really unnecessary or is it just one of those other frantic protocols to waste time? A guy once said, 'for me to live is Christ and for me to die is gain' Isn't there a truth in this phrase? I rest my case.
